ABOUT NIC
Ottawa based jazz pianist, Nic Code, has had the pleasure of being apart of the Carleton University Music Program.
Studying piano under Yves LaRoche and gaining more insight from other Carleton instructors such as Mike Tremblay,
Mark Ferguson, and James McGowan to name a few.
Nic was brought on to play at several performances alongside of his peers during his time at the university. These performances varied in style and genres that span over the course of a century. Initially specializing in Ragtime piano music this naturally led Nic to pursue styles adjacent to Ragtime such as Jazz and most of its adjacent genres.
